A vocation to music

Collaborate

 

Denver enjoys collaborating with different musicians and scholars. At SU she has successfully implemented a new curriculum in the Music Therapy Department with a tight-knit team of colleagues. Denver prides herself on her ability to work well with others.

She also performs in many different ensembles including The Edge Ensemble, Shenandoah Summer Musical Theater, the rock band Nancy and many other impromptu chamber ensembles.

Denver has worked with a variety of chamber ensembles. In addition she has collaborated with the VCU Film Department, VCU Arts, and Discovery after school care. 

Perform

 

Denver has performed in many capacities and venues such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, VCU, Shenandoah Conservatory, Randolph Macon College, and Maymont Park.​


She performs recitals as a solo classical guitarists and in ensembles. 


Denver also enjoys performing often in musical theater orchestra pits and for various events such as weddings.


Denver plays a Timothy Steis custom guitar.

Educate

 

Denver is a teacher with over 11 years experience. She is adjunct faculty for the Music Therapy and Guitar Departments at Shenandoah Conservatory. Denver teaches Clinical Guitar Skills I-V, Guitar Consort and Ensembles.

She is also the proud founder of Powhatan School's Guitar Ensemble which has been running for over two years now.

She received D.E.T. Training (Distance Education Teaching) in the Summer of 2020 as a solution to the obstacles presented by COVID-19.​
